Pay monthly websites: scope, costs and ownership

This route suits businesses that want a professional site with hosting and maintenance organised alongside the build. It is less suitable if you need ownership immediately or cannot commit to the minimum term.

Start with the pages and actions customers need. A five-page brochure site and a catalogue with bookings, stock or payments are different projects; the monthly headline is not a price for unlimited functionality.

• Identify who supplies the copy, images, product information and approvals.
• Ask for a custom quote if the catalogue, integrations or page count fall outside the package.

Monthly plans include: Secure hosting, SSL, routine backups, software updates, security monitoring and ongoing technical maintenance throughout the 24-month agreement.

The first monthly payment is required before work begins. Monthly plans have a 24-month minimum term, and website ownership transfers after all 24 payments have cleared. One-off packages include 12 months of hosting and essential maintenance. Additional pages, content creation, premium software and advanced functionality may cost extra. All projects are subject to an agreed scope. No VAT is added to the published prices. A domain is included when the client does not supply their own. After the 24 cleared monthly payments there are no further website-build instalments; continued maintenance is optional.

No VAT is added to the published prices. If you do not supply a domain, a domain is included. Agree the chosen domain, registration details and renewal arrangements in the written scope.
